Holland’s modern harbour city Rotterdam has recently been rated by Lonely Planet as number five ‘top cities of the world’ in it’s ‘Best in Travel 2016’ report.

Especially in spring, the famous tulip fields are extremely colourful. You can visit the Keukenhof parque or just go pass the surrounding fields by car -or even better- by bike.

When you say The Netherlands, you say Amsterdam. So much to see and to do in this capital, find it out on the website of IAMsterdam.

Holland is one of the few countries where soft drugs are, somehow, tolerated. Especially in Amsterdam there are many, many coffee shops.

The Netherlands has 8 UNESCO World Heritage sites under which the Wadden Sea, De Beemster, Schokland, the Kinderdijk mills and the canals of Amsterdam.

Everything is well-organized. Really. Everything. People are structured, processes are structured, landscapes are structured. Most probably it won’t be hard to find your way.

The Netherlands has an excellent accessibility through Schiphol Airport, as the train station is located just under the airport itself. In only fifteen minutes you can enter the city centre of Amsterdam.

The Dutch people are direct, though friendly, and most of them possess good English language skills. If help is required, this won’t be a problem. The average Dutchie will be more than willing to help you.

The capital of (international) politics, The Hague, has many things to discover. Visit the Royal Palace, Madurodam miniature park, the Peace Palace or the Scheveningen beach nearby!

The Netherlands is a bicycle country. In fact is has the highest relative bike-density in the world! It is the only country that has more bikes than inhabitants with a ratio of 1,1. Holland has excellent facilities for tourists to discover regions by rental bikes.

A visit to the Anne Frank House-/museum is essential! This is the house where the Dutch Jewish girl Anne Frank had to go into hiding during WWII to escape the Nazis.
